img_1539I have trained thousands of people worldwide. Almost all make one common mistake.  Everybody is constantly working out, but no one is resting. It’s not enough to just rest your muscles. For superior health, energy, and gains, one must also rest the “recuperative system” that heals those very muscles. For exact in depth details you need my books. In them you will find a plethora of valuable information on how to rest so as to optimize growth. Suffice it to say, over training and too much high intensity all the time will burn our your adrenal glands and fry your nervous system! Getting to the point, I’d like to share this with all of you. To fully recharge your batteries, and not burn out, take one full week off every 3 months, and once a year take 2-4 weeks off. When you come back from the lay-off, ease into it and gradually increase the weight and intensity! Don’t just jump back in where you left off. As of this writing, I am enjoying  2 week hiatus from the iron and hope you are too. Your New Years resolution should be this: Get Brutally Huge and make it a way of life for the rest of your life!
